Derived from international spot price + interbank USD/PKR, including typical Sarafa market premium. Local jeweller rates may vary by Rs. 500–1,500 per tola between cities.
This page brings together the numbers Pakistanis check every day: gold rate today (sona rate) for 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K per tola and per gram, the dollar rate today (USD to PKR) along with Saudi Riyal, UAE Dirham, British Pound and Euro, current petrol and diesel prices, the silver (chandi) rate, and the KSE-100 index. Rates refresh automatically throughout the day.
We convert the international spot price (per troy ounce) into PKR per tola (11.664 grams) using the live interbank exchange rate, then add the typical local Sarafa market premium. Jewellers add making charges (banwai) on top, so shop prices will be slightly higher than the bullion rate shown here.
OGRA reviews fuel prices fortnightly and the government notifies new prices effective the 1st and 16th of each month, based on international oil prices and the rupee-dollar rate. The countdown above shows when the next revision is due.
The rates shown are interbank-derived. The open market (money changer) rate is usually Rs. 1–3 higher for buying. For remittances through banks and exchange companies, the interbank rate is the better reference.
